The NFL is very much like the weather. It can be hot, it can be cold; it can be sunshine and rainbows or rain with thunder and lightning. There's no such thing as a happy medium here -- just complete unpredictability from kickoff to the final whistle. It makes crafting a DFS lineup quite difficult, requiring the right script to find the cash. It has to be a blend of safe and boom-or-bust options in the right matchups, with enough differentiation to really make a mark. We work every week to find those players who can bring us to the bank, and that's why we're taking some chances with our Week 6 FanDuel lineup. Before we break down our picks and strategy, here are the most notable scoring rules for FanDuel contests:four-point pa sing TDsandhalf-point PPR.WEEK 6 DFS: | | QB Justin Fields, Bears vs. Vikings ($8,500).Fields has completely flipped the script on the Bears season, his career, and maybe even his future in the Windy City the past two weeks. He's been nothing short of incredible, piling up stats with his arm as well as his legs. As the Bears notched their first win in nearly a year last week, Fields now gets another defense that can be exploited. The Vikings aren't as bad on defense as they were last year, ranking around the middle of the pack (18th) overall as a unit, but they're 22nd against the pa s. Fields has been slinging it, notably to his WR1, DJ Moore. We probably won't get another four-TD performance from Fields, but the lack of healthy running backs certainly helps our cause.RB Kyren Williams, Rams vs. Cardinals ($8,200).Williams had difficulty getting through the Eagles defense on Sunday. The return of Cooper Kupp might have had an impact, as Matthew Stafford was clearly insistent on getting him the ball. As a result, Williams was Italian Serie A Jersey held to just 13 carries for 53 yards in a negative game script. His grip on the backfield remains, though, and the Cardinals defense should be easier to deal with, checking in as the No. 22 unit against the run. The game script should also be positive with the Rams likely playing with a lead or in a close contest that allows L.A. to hand it off to Williams often.WEEK 6 FANTASY ADVICE: | | | RB Breece Hall, Jets vs. Eagles ($6,800).The Jets took the pitch count off Hall in Week 5, and he sure did reward them. He had 22 carries last week after posting 32 through the first four games, showcasing his speed and return to form. Hall owns two of the three longest runs in the NFL on the year, but he gets the league's best run defense this week. While it seems like a terrible matchup on paper, we think Hall is going to be a low-owned player this week. That's fine, as the new offensive line combination is opening up lanes for New York's running backs. That should continue even after losing Alijah Vera-Tucker for the season with a torn Achilles. While the Eagles are rightfully being praised for their run defense, they've yet to face a rushing attack that's ranked higher than 22nd Serbia Jersey in yards per game. The Jets own the 11th-best average, and with Hall no longer on a snap count, he should be able to do more than enough to deliver a solid return on investment.WR DJ Moore, Bears vs. Vikings ($8,000).With 19 targets over the past two weeks, Moore is starting to look like the receiver that the Bears traded for. We're riding the wave in Week 6 when the red-hot Bears' offense takes on Minnesota. We like the Fields-Moore stack to put up some big numbers once again, expecting Chicago to rely on its pa sing game while the running backs deal with injuries. Moore's 361 yards over the past two weeks makes him a great fit in our big-play lineup.WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | WR Jordan Addison, Vikings @ Bears ($6,700). With Justin Jefferson (hamstring) exiting early last week, Addison stepped in to tie for the team lead in targets (9) and lead the team in catches (6) and yards (64). It was a breakout game in terms of workload for the rookie, and while we like the Chicago stack with Fields and Moore, we also recognize that the Bears' defense still can't stop anyone. They've allowed 40 points in two of the past three games and at least 30 points in four of five. The Vikings are a pa s-first team, ranking 28th in rushing yards per game. Addison is poised to benefit from the extended look he had in Week 5, and that should carry over against a bad defense in Week 6.WR Christian Kirk, Jaguars vs. Colts ($6,600).The Colts can't defend WR1s, WR2s, or WR52s. They allowed DeAndre Hopkins to throw back the clock and turn in a vintage performance despite a horrendous Titans' pa sing attack being unable to do anything productive most weeks. They were shredded by Calvin Ridley, Nico Collins, and Puka Nacua at points this season. While Kirk was held in check in Week 1, seeing only three targets, he's returned to his prominent role in Jacksonville's pa sing attack, seeing double-digit looks in two of the past four. He hauled in 14 receptions on 20 targets in London, recording 162 yards over the past two weeks. With only one touchdown on the season, Kirk is primed to find the end zone again and has a great matchup for that to happen.WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | | TE Logan Thomas, Commanders @ Falcons ($5,400).Thomas might be a forgotten name, but he has a role in the Washington offense. That was highlighted for a national audience on Thursday night in Week 5 when he saw 11 targets, bringing in nine for 77 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons allow the second-most fantasy points to the position per game (13.4), meaning Thomas has a great chance to replicate his best game of the season.FLEX Chris Godwin, Buccaneers vs. Lions ($6,300).This game projects to feature plenty of points. That's always the case when the Lions play, but it's even more of the case when their opponent features an offense full of talented players like Tampa. Mike Evans is recovering from a hamstring injury, which means he could be limited if he does play. Coming off a bye week, it's easy to forget what the Buccaneers were doing last time, but Godwin turned in an 11-target, eight-catch, 114-yard receiving performance. Godwin has seen a steady workload with Baker Mayfield, but the recent game is even more promising. We'll trust the healthier, steady option to deliver.DEF New York Jets vs. Eagles ($3,500).There aren't a lot of defenses that we really like in Week 6. It's hard to find a standout matchup, so we'll work with our limited budget ($3,500, in this case) to get the best defense our money can buy. The Eagles aren't lighting it up on offense, as the eye test reveals they still aren't on the same level as they were in 2022. For all their faults -- and there are plenty -- Gang Green's defense has found a way to hang around with the Bills and Chiefs, two of the most explosive offenses in football. They've been in striking distance in every game, with their worst performance coming in Dallas back in Week 2. The Jets have also forced a safety in two straight and three of four, indicating just how weird the sport can be at times. This team's recipe is to win is running the ball effectively with Hall and playing defense. Considering we already snagged Hall for the lineup, we like the Tunisia Jersey stack with what figures to be an equally low-owned Jets' D/ST.This year, we're also listing our favorite single-game DFS plays on.For those unfamiliar,DFS scoring involves point multipliers as opposed to traditional salary-capped or tiered contests. A winning lineup will likely feature a strong mix of stud fantasy contributors with 1x-1.6x boosts, as well as matchup-based sleepers with larger multipliers. Each player is a signed a scoring multiplier based on their value as determined by SuperDraft. Users can roster any player in their lineup with no restrictions.MORE:Here are the most notable scoring rules for SuperDraft NFL contests:Half-point PPR,four-point pa sing TDs,two-point bonuses for 100 rushing yards,100 receiving yards, and 300 pa sing yards.MORE SUPERDRAFT DFS:QB: Justin Fields, Bears (Multiplier 1.1x)RB: Josh Jacobs, Raiders (Multiplier 1.2x)RB: Alvin Kamara, Saints (Multiplier 1.25x)WR: Jordan Addison, Vikings (Multiplier 1.3x)WR: DJMoore, Bears (Multiplier 1.3x)WR: Calvin Ridley, Jaguars (Multiplier 1.3x)TE: Dallas Goedert, Eagles(Multiplier 1.25x)FLEX: WR Adam Thielen, Panthers (Multiplier 1.35x)For our SuperDraft lineup, we'll take advantage of not having a salary cap by stacking Fields and Moore while leaning on some players with big workloads like Jacobs and Kamara. Workload is the name of the game, which is why we will also lean on Addison, Ridley, and Thielen in good matchups and even better situations. Goedert faces a Jets defense that struggles against tight ends, allowing us to find some production at fantasy's worst position with a nice multiplier on top of that.
